The original email announcement came from Michelle's brother Jeff on July 26, 2006:

So after much anticipation, the long awaited arrival of baby Olliver is here! Woohoo! It is my pleasure to announce that Michelle gave birth to her baby boy at 2:35 pm yesterday afternoon. He came into the world just on day after Michelle's 38 week deadline (such an obedient boy already ;). Olliver is 19.5 inches long and a very healthy 6 lbs and 15 ounces.

Michelle is recovering well and should be leaving Roosevelt hospital early tomorrow morning. Attached are a number of photos of the happy new family! You can all get on with the congratulations and well wishing now :D

Sincerely,
-Jeff Solomon

Michelle sent an update/spelling correction on July 29, 2006:

Thanks to all for congratulatory calls and emails we have not had a chance to respond to. Although we checked out of Roosevelt on
Thursday, we had an unscheduled reentry into Long Island City Hospital on Friday, as Oliver was a little jaundiced and needed some time under the bili lights (once upon a time this was routine for all newborns.) he's fine now and we just got home again, hopefully for god this time. we promise to be back in touch soon - we'll be resting at home watching Oliver perform his endless and endlessly entertaining cycle of sleeping, eating, and eliminating.

for those who were wondering about the odd spelling - it's just one L in Oliver. To be fair, jeff was pretty exhausted after attending a birth. Last name is Solomonceo - all one word, no hyphen, one capital letter only (Michelle won the coin toss).

Also sorry to those getting late news. early baby = hadn't yet
prepared email list. (see email below)

love to all,
michelle, greg, and oliver

And then on July 31, we had to send *another* email to the people we forgot to inform the first two times:

Oliver Solomonceo was born at 2:35pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2006. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces, 19.5 inches long. It's been a heck of a week for Michelle, Greg and Oliver, as our little monkey had to spend some time under the special lights for jaundice. But we're all well now, and spending pretty much all of our time feeding the baby, watching him sleep, changing his diapers, and putting away all of his new stuff (Michelle's mom is a compulsive shopper and this is her first grandchild).

Oliver was two weeks early so we hadn't quite gotten around to preparing our email alert list, much less packing our bag for the hospital. Sorry for the late notice therefore.

Attached are Oliver's very first photos of what we expect will be many modeling jobs to come.
