Hi all,
Greg and I are still fairly incommunicado. No one mentioned that the 6 - 12 week period is the hardest. Oliver is fussy fussy fussy. But we hired a night nurse for a few nights this week, and have actually gotten some sleep, so we feel a whole lot better.

Greg is back to work doing a photo shoot this week, and Michelle has had her first three days home alone with the baby. So far, so good. Michelle and Oliver went to the mommy movies today - we saw Gridiron Gang, and Oliver slept through the whole thing except for a quiet feeding!

We're not in anything resembling a routine yet, but that feels within reach. We're getting better at quieting Oliver down from the screamies, and have begun to worshop at the altar of Dr. Harvey Karp and his 5 S's (that's an insider parenting reference - if you don't get it, don't worry about it 'til you have to). Oliver never did figure out how to latch on to a boob properly (he only does it when he's uber-relaxed, which is rare), so we're bottle-feeding a mix of formula and breastmilk, and Michelle is pumping every four hours.

Although Greg has gone back to being swamped with work, Michelle is trying to figure out how to spend a whole day with a baby who alternates between being exhausting and being out cold asleep (i.e. Michelle is taking calls and visitors now). We're still not really getting to anything on our to do list, but maybe soon...

Here are some photos of Oliver's past month. We just got back from a week at the beach in Delaware with both sets of grandparents, so there are some scenic shore shots. Also in the past month, Oliver has met some new people, and begun a lifetime of enjoyment of Football Season.

Miss you all,
Michelle and Greg
